Uganda Sets Born-Again Churches Free: Pastor Robert Kayanja’s Impact Reverberates Nationwide

Kyabise Blog | Uganda’s Christian Voice to the World

In a historic move that will forever redefine religious freedom in Uganda, the government has officially exempted born-again churches from mandatory NGO registration under the NGO Act. This unprecedented decision comes after tireless advocacy by Pastor Robert Kayanja, the visionary founder of Miracle Centre Cathedral Rubaga and leader of the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches.

A Voice for the Voiceless

For years, many Pentecostal ministries across Uganda have faced mounting pressure under bureaucratic laws that sought to classify spiritual churches as non-governmental organizations. Pastor Robert Kayanja, unwavering in his mission to protect the gospel and the spiritual sovereignty of the Church, rose as a bold advocate. His relentless engagement with policymakers, spiritual leaders, and communities has now resulted in a powerful breakthrough: born-again churches are free to operate and worship without legal restraint.

This is more than a policy shift. It is a spiritual awakening and a moment of justice for millions of believers. As Pastor Kayanja once declared, “The Church belongs to Jesus. It’s not an NGO—it’s the Kingdom of God on earth.”

The Fire Still Burns: Benny Hinn Crusade in Kampala

This victory follows what is now recognized as the largest gospel gathering in Uganda’s history. In June 2025, over 3 million people poured into Miracle Centre Cathedral and its extended grounds for a life-changing crusade led by world-renowned evangelist Pastor Benny Hinn, hosted by none other than Pastor Kayanja.

For three anointed days, Uganda witnessed miracles, salvation, healing, and prophetic declarations. Leaders from over 40 nations, government officials, and thousands of pastors united to lift the name of Jesus. This was not just a revival—it was a prophetic sign of Uganda’s spiritual destiny.

Honoring Pastor Robert Kayanja

At the heart of these victories is a man who has never wavered. Pastor Robert Kayanja is not just a preacher—he is a reformer, a builder, a father to the nation, and a spiritual gatekeeper. His voice has echoed through the corridors of power, and his ministry has touched millions across continents.

We at Kyabise Blog take this moment to deeply thank and honor Pastor Robert Kayanja for his courage, leadership, and faithfulness to God. You have carried the banner of truth and freedom for the Church—and generations will remember your name.
